Michael Garcia, Jr. – age 71, passed away May 14, 2014 with his three children by his side.
Mr. Garcia was born on April 3, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York and was the son of the late Michael Garica and Siomara Garcia (Felipe). He moved to Miami, Florida as a young boy and ultimately settled in Hawthorne & Gainesville, Florida.
Mr. Garcia served in the United States Air Force. He retired in 2007 after 20 years of employment with Shands having worked in the communications department. After his retirement he enjoyed photography and was a very talented photographer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Marie Garcia (Allard), who he will now join in eternal matrimony.
He is survived by his children, Michell Huddleston (Garcia), Michael Garcia and Mark Garcia, eight grandchildren, his sister Linda Miller and his brother, Robert Garcia.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Meadows Cemetery located at: 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, FL
We were blessed to meet your Dad, (Michell, Mike, and Mark) on great occasions – Christmas, birthdays, and graduations! He was very welcoming to us and we loved tasting whatever he cooked for the occasion. God Bless you all and prayers that memories will help you get through this difficult time. Hugs!

Lamento mucho la pérdida de su ser amado. Estoy segura que está pasando por un tiempo muy difícil ya que la muerte deja un gran vacío en nuestro corazón.
