Gainesville – Mrs. Carolyn H. (Emery) Kroesser of Gainesville, FL, passed away on February 16, 2022, at her son’s home after a long battle with numerous health issues. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Roy and Elmira
Harrison. She was born in Alachua, FL and lived in Tampa, FL until returning to Alachua where she graduated from Alachua High School in 1954. She later obtained on Associate of Arts degree from Georgia Southern University in
1976. In 1956, she married Carl E. Emery. Soon after the marriage the couple moved to Eastman, GA, where she was employed as a legal secretary until becoming a Court Reporter. In 1980, Carolyn married Jack Kroesser of
Cochran, GA. Both of her husbands preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sister, Pam Lovett (Bill) of Wauchula, FL, son Edward Emery (Judy) of Gainesville, FL and stepchildren John Kroesser, Jr. of Houma, LA, Dee Davis (Richard) of Cochran, GA, David Kroesser (Wendy)
of Cochran, GA, Diana LeGuin (Gill) of Cochran, GA, Susan Thompson (Stan) of Cochran, GA and Michael Kroesser (Shaune) of Douglas, GA. Survivors also include one niece and one nephew, numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great great grandchildren and everal cousins.
Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gainesville, FL.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 pm on March 5, 2022, in Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please donate to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital (http://giftfunds.stjude.org/Carolyn_Kroesser), her favorite charity, in her memory.
