Myrtle Dunlap Fink, 90 passed away March 5, 2013 at E.T. York Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL. Myrtle was born June 22, 1922 in Midland City, AL.
Myrtle and her family moved to Miami, FL in 1925. She graduated from Miami Edison High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After raising her sons, she returned to work in banking
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. Dunlap and Verlon Avant Dunlap, her brother Tully Dunlap and her husband Walter D. Fink.
Myrtle is survived by her sons Charles D. Fink and Gary D. Fink and her grandchildren, Carlin A. Fink, Charles D. Fink II, Mary Elizabeth Fink, John Fink and Elena Fink.
A Celebration of Myrtle’s Life will be held Thursday, March 14, at 2pm at Grace at Ft. Clarke, United Methodist Church, 9325 West Newberry Rd., Gainesville, FL 32606. Burial with Military Honors will be held on Friday, March 15 at 11:30 am at Florida National Cemetery,Bushnell, FL.
