Sorry to hear of Mrs. Blethen’s passing. I was one of their babysitters during my high school years and loved their kids. Always looked forward to seeing Jeanne, Bobby and baby Meredith. All such cute kids and well behaved!Dr. Blethen was a well loved dentist in Portland and always picked me up at my house a short dis-
tance from their house on the same street (Garrison Street) and returned me safely.
Their home was warm and loving and almost always had fresh flowers on the dining room table. I always felt appreciated and was eager to return. Now, I am the mother of 3 sons and 2 grandsons. I spent my career in Human Resources (Benefits)
and am now retired (enjoying my retirement) and keep busy sewing, reading and
enjoy traveling (especially cruising!) Karen Grimmer Wellman-Westbrook,Maine
