Norman Wayne Lucas, 85, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on Friday, Feb 12, 2016 at the Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center with his family by his side. Norman was born in Festus, MO and was an Air Force veteran and a retired FAA Electronic Technician. A member of Westside Baptist Church, Norman enjoyed golf, aviation, and fishing.

Norman is preceded in death by his brother Warren Lucas. He is survived by his wife- Rebecca “Ann” Lucas of Gainesville, FL; son- Michael Lucas and his wife Sheila of Gainesville, FL; daughter- Debbie Hawkes and her husband Simon of Miramar, FL;, daughter- Stephanie Beach of High Springs, FL; brother- William Lucas of Festus, MO; brother- Daniel Lucas of Washington, MO, sister-in-law- Kathryn Bigham of Tillery, NC, and brother-in-law- Bob Bigham of Tillery, NC.

The family will have a gathering at Forest Meadows Funeral Home in Gainesville on Monday, Feb 15th , from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. All are welcome to share with the family and Norman’s celebration of life service will start at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Friends of Children c/o the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes (www.focncf.org).
