Goodbred, Philip Brown, 87 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday May 24th, 2014 at home. Philip retired as the manager at Suburban Propane, an Insurance agent for Independent Life and then drove a Handicap school bus for many years with the Alachua County Schools. Philip was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed fishing, supporting the Gators, growing his vegetable garden and was a skilled carpenter. Philip served the Lord for many years as a deacon at Lake Forest Baptist Church.
Philip was preceded in death by his wife Rose Bay Goodbred and is survived by his children Philip R. Goodbred, Stan Liscombe (Najwa), Nancy Garland (Eric) and Carol Goodbred (Victor), Grandchildren Daniel Garland, Sarah Goodbred and Tyler Goodbred and one great grandchild Aiden McCullough. He is also survived by sisters, Betty Dennison and Mary McDonald.
Funeral service for Mr. Goodbred will be graveside on Friday, May 30th, 2014 at 10:00am in Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3900 SE Hawthorne Rd. The family will receive friend’s graveside starting at 9:30am.
I am very sorry, for your loss. I know how hard the healing is when you have lost both parents. My prayers go out to all of you. GOD bless you all.
