Ralph Carmen DeSciscio

Ralph Carmen DeSciscio, 86, of Gainesville Florida passed peacefully on November 26, 2014.

Ralph was born in Jersey City, NJ on February 8, 1928.  He graduated from Snyder High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman where he picked up the nickname “Doc”.  Upon honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he joined the U.S. Naval Reserve and served in Crew Five, VP-62, “Alpha” in the air division.  He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Bergen County, NJ.  In 1966 Ralph moved to Florida and continued with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.

He was predeceased by his wife Barbara, parents Grazio and Carmela DeSciscio , brothers Dominick, Joseph (Billy) and sister Virginia (Jean).   Surviving are his nephew Peter DeSciscio and wife Pina along with 8 other nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.

To honor Ralph’s life a  funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 2:00pm in Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central’s “Chapel in the Meadows”, 4100 NW 39th Ave.
