| Raymond Eugene Haufler, 69, of Hawthorne, passed away April 15, 2012 at his home.
Ray was born and raised in Gainesville to Eugene and Annette Haufler and attended the University of Florida and Florida State University. He retired as a builder, Real Estate Broker and developer of many apartments, Office Complexes, mini storage facilities, hotels, homes, subdivisions and also Island Grove Baptist Church where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annette and Eugene Haufler. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl Haufler, daughter Kimberly Meyer, sons Gene Haufler (Sheila), Scott Lester (Christine) and Chuck Lester (Kelly) and sister Sandra Sontag, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Island Grove Baptist Church, 20905 SE 219th Avenue, Island Grove, FL with Pastor SteveMatchett officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, Fl. |
