Richard David Bristow

Richard David “Dick” Bristow, age 90, passed away October 23, 2012 in Gainesville, Florida. He was born June 25, 1922 in Brighton, Sussex, England. He was the son of Richard Thomas Bristow and Lydia Roseina Stallard. He served in the Royal Air Force in World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by Shirley M. Bristow his wife of 67 years. He is survived by his son Richard David Bristow and wife Kristine of Poquoson, Virginia, daughters Karen Norma Pope of Lakeland, Florida and Janet Shirley Crenshaw and husband Jerry of Gainesville, Florida. Nine Grandchildren: Greg, Jenniffer, Kyle, Jamie, Kyna, Mike, Nick, Amanda, and Elizabeth. Seven Great-Grandchildren: Danielle, Taylor, Kathryn, Maya, Karlee, Kelsey, and Morgan. A Sister-In-Law Norma Vivian Seager of Gilroy, California and three Nieces and a Nephew.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1PM and the Funeral following at 2PM at Forest Meadows Cemetery Chapel on N. W. 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
