Robert “Bob” Crew Davis, Jr., 84, of Gainesville passed away November 30, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Bob was born in Birmingham, AL and moved to Florida in 1969. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1946-1949 in the 6th Bomb Group and the 2nd Bomb Group. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church where he loved serving his church and his God. He had a passion for sailing, traveling, puzzles, trains but most of all he loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Louise Davis. He is survived by children Robert W. Davis (Bea) of Lakeland, Diane LaRose (Danny) of Lake Butler, Linda White (R.D.) of Tallahassee and Barbara Wright of Gainesville, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, FL with Dr. John Fairless Officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 PM.
