Robert “Bobby” E. Lee of Newberry died Thursday, January 18th in his home in Newberry. He was 68 years old.
Bobby was born in Miami, Florida January 2, 1950 and moved to Newberry, Florida from Rome, Georgia in 1978. Bobby served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972 as a 64A10 mechanic with expert badge for M-14 riffle. Honorably discharged E4. Bobby was employed by the School Board of Alachua County as a school bus mechanic for 30 years and retired in December 2016.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Louise Lee, daughter Gidget and her husband Mike of Lake Butler, Fl, daughter April and her husband Shane of Waxahachie, Texas, son Mark and his wife Becca of Newberry, Fl. Bobby had 8 grandchildren that he was very proud of Cayla 21, Makenzie 17, Jon 13, Mason 9, Hayden 7, Samuel 5, Nathaniel 5, and Braxton 1. His sister Pat Clark (Tom) of Newberry, a niece Deana and her husband Daniel, niece Melissa and her husband Ryan, and nephew Jody. Bobby will also be missed by his great niece Taylor and his great nephews Dillon, Clark and Silas. Bobby is also survived by his mother Nadine May Lee. He was proceeded in death by his father Oscar Wallace Lee, Jr.
The family will have a celebration of life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:00 at Bronson Road Church; 13830 NE 80th Ave Newberry, Fl 32669. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of food and fellowship following the celebration of life.

    I love my sister in law, April and her family. Thinking of and praying for y’all. Hugs from Texas while I tend to the pets here waiting on everyone to get back. Take your time and soak it up with everyone you love. That Bobby was a steady eddy and a cool dude. ????
