Robert Lee Mehaffey

ROBERT LEE MEHAFFEY, age 90 of St. Augustine passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Hospice Bailey Center in St. Augustine. He was a native of Gainesville and moved to St Augustine from Jacksonville six years ago. He was a WW II vet and a retired horticulturist for the U of FL and the Jacksonville University.  He is survived by one son, Michael Eugene Mehaffey, Jacksonville Beach, FL, Step- Son, Marty Dashiell of Virginia, step-daughter, Karen Diaz, St Augustine, one brother, James “Jimmy”  Mehaffey, Gainesville, FL and 2 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Ione Baker Mehaffey and a brother William Mehaffey.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 2:00pm with full Military Honors and Rev. Kenneth Thompkins officiating at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East. Interment to follow services.  Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, Fl.
