Rosemary Squitieri Puglia, 95, passed away peacefully on December 5th. She was born in San Valentino Torio, Italy. When she was 6 years old, she and her family moved to New York. She was the beloved wife of Peter S. Puglia and mother of Martha D. Puglia, whom both predeceased her. Rosemary leaves behind her other daughter, Linda Corsa, three grandchildren, Lou, Peter and Anita Corsa and three great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Alessandro and Louis Corsa.
Rosemary was a homemaker for most of her life, but was always involved in the fashion industry. As a young lady, she worked as a designer and a seamstress for a major fashion warehouse in the garment district in New York City. As she progressed in life her creative nature took her to sculpting and ceramics. She moved to Gainesville, Florida in 1985 to seek a suitable climate for her retirement years. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Holy Faith Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 9:30am, with entombment to follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central’s Mausoleum. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Forest Meadows Funeral Home.
Very sorry for your loss.
