In Loving Memory of

Sonia Elizabeth Urscheler

02/03/1938 - 11/10/2013

On November 10th, 2013, Sonia Elizabeth Urscheler’s presence was requested at the gates of Heaven. She lived in Gainesville FL.  She was born February 3, 1938 in Manhattan, NY to Angel M. Ramos and Esther Martinez Ramos.

Sonia had a love for flowers, and could bring anything back to life. She loved people and prayed for everyone daily. She never met a stranger, and gave advice to anyone and everyone she met. Sonia was a wedding planner and loved making brides dreams come true. We will miss our Victorian Angel dearly, but our hearts are happy knowing that she has no more pain and no more sorrow. She is now walking hand in hand with her son, Charlie.

Mrs. Urscheler moved to Puerto Rico in 1963 and lived there until moving to Gainesville in 1972.  She was a cashier in the records department of the Clerk of Courts Office and retired to care for her father when he became ill.  She also worked part-time at Ross Department Store.

Mrs. Urscheler was preceded in death by her son, Charles Angel Urscheler who died in 1976.  She is survived by brothers, Edward Ramos of Newberry and Angel Ramos (LaVerne) of Hudson; sisters, Sheila McDowell of Hawthorne and Carol Fader of Pembroke Pines and lots of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Forest Meadows Central Mausoleum “Chapel in the Meadows”, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will follow in Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

I am very sorry to hear about Sonia. She was a fine person who endured many heartaches. I hope she is at peace now and with Charlie. I think of him often and I am glad he is back with his mother.

I wish that the entire family can find some peace with the thought that she has her little boy back.
