In Loving Memory of

Suresh A. Patel

07/29/1950 - 07/03/2013

Suresh A. Patel, 62, of Gainesville, FL passed away in the loving arms of his family in the comfort of his own home on July 3, 2013.  A kind hearted, gentle, yet feisty, and much revered man who was known to so many.  To one, as a husband.  To seven, as a father.  To Gainesville, as the man who jokingly connected with each customer at Pat’s Kwik Stop.  To physicians, as an ever-enduring patient.  To more, as a friend, brother, and family.  To all, a brave and courageous man who exceeded all of the pressures of cancer.  Please join us celebrate his life on Saturday July 6, 2013 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home from 9:00am – 10:30am for the viewing.

Suresh, a wonderful man. We enjoyed going to Pat’s Kwik Stop @ NW 34 St.
He always had a joke that he would share and then we would pass it on to our family having a laugh. His hello’s, laughter and smiles will be missed! He spread something that everyone needs in their life Happiness!! Suresh and his family ,have been a part of Gainesville for a long time. We appreciate and Thank you for all the positive things that Suresh and his family have done.

I am sorry to read that my dear friend, Suresh, has left this world, but know that he is now happy and in a better place. I will always remember his kindnesses and his joking. He tried to make everyone around him smile and enjoy being with him. Such a brave battle he fought with the cancer for many years. He was so determined to stay with his family as long as he could. My prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time. I wish you all peace and comfort. He did everything he could do to beat this terrible illness. Love and hugs to you all.

I know that no words can come even remotely close to healing the pain that you feel. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time.

Remember that you are not alone in this grievous journey. You have the support and strength of your family to get you through this. Your little children need you now, more than ever. Be there for them, and be there for yourself. The only way to get past this, is to face it. And repetitive though it may seem, time is indeed the best healer.

So give yourself some time, and then begin afresh. The world is still beautiful, and is still waiting for you.

    Dear Family,
One suffers when a love one dies because death is a loss to a void beyond all understanding. The pain and sense of deep loss makes us feel that we are “drowning emotionally”. You may wonder where your loved ones are and whether you will ever see them again. Jesus Christ said:” The hour is coming in which ALL those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus]voice
and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life…”(JOHN
5:28,29) A resurrection to where? PSALMS 37:29;” The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” My dear friends what such great comfort at a time of loss.
    Sincerely Yours, Judy L.

I just got a reminder of Suresh’s Birthday on my email today. Was looking at Forest Meadows because a friend of mine is having her visitation there tomorrow. I was so surprised when Suresh’s name and picture jumped out at me. I was a friend who frequented his store on 34th street for years. I met his beautiful wife, shared pictures of his beautiful children and then grandchildren. We texted back and forth after I moved to Lake City several times. I can close my eyes and remember my last hug from Suresh. My heart breaks for his family. He was such a kind man and loved his family so. I am glad that he got to leave for his forever home while with you. Suresh will be missed by so many and I will pray for all of you. Rest in Peach Suresh. My world was a better place because you were in it. Linda Redden Payne
