It was with great sorrow that I read the news about the passing of Mrs. Susan Marie Rush. Having known Susan for 32 years, her kindness, loving nature, and her constant unselfish acts of love, can never begin to describe her peaceful spirit. Even though we didn’t get together often after our children grew up, I will miss her very much. Mark, we’re thinking of you and the children. Take comfort in the fact that Susan was so well-loved. Our thoughts and prayer are with you.

Dr. Rush, Tommy, Bobby and Katie,

My family and I send our prayers to all of you for the loss of your Wife and Mom. I can still remember all the great years that she would spend her time with us at Howard Bishop when Bobby and Katie were in the Academy. Every day, I still look at the beautiful embroidery that she made me of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse that hangs by my desk in my classroom. You all were so very blessed to have a great wife and Mom. She was a wonderful person and I was blessed to have known her.

We wish all of your family and you, Mark , our best. You have all been I’m our thoughts and prayers.
She was the perfect volunteer at school. She did so much for all the students at the schools that her children attended,
I can remember a big Christmas stocking that I got from Katie (and Susan) and a beautiful bag that I think she and Katie made in Girl Scouts. But, her kindness didn’t stop there. She also made sone towels with a GHS logo for Lauren’s teammates.
Our other family experience was at the business school. Not only did Arnie like and respect you, you also became Lauren’s professor. You were very helpful in guiding her through the Accounting school. Take care, relax and get some self time for all.

Remembering my friend, Susan, from many years ago. We were young mothers together, working with others like us for our children, and their teachers and schools. Susan, who spearheaded and supported many programs that benefitted so many. Talented, compassionate, confident, and caring. I am so fortunate to have called you Friend.
My deepest condolences to Mark and family and to all of us who loved her.

Susan was an extraordinary, kind, caring person! She so willingly volunteered at Glen Springs, doing whatever needed to be done. Her wit and warm heart touched all the children, teachers and staff members in countless ways. She was one of the many “stitches” that made up the Glen Springs family! Many prayers to all who loved and admired her…may we all treasure her memory.
