Terry Lavaris Barr, 36 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 in Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital. Terry was born and Raised in Gainesville and worked in the Alachua County School System as a Para-professional.
Terry is survived by his parents Horace and Cynthia Barr, brother’s Jason Barr and Anthon Barr and sisters LaTasha Barr Allen, Victoria Barr Davis and Pamela Barr.
Funeral services for Mr. Barr will be held on Sunday, January 24th, 2015 at the Fairbanks Church of God by Faith, 6901 NE 57th Street, Gainesville at 2:30pm with interment to follow in Rutledge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Forest Meadows Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Fairbanks church of God by Faith to help the family defray expenses incurred bringing Terry back home to Gainesville.
My love to all the Barr family during this difficult time. Terry has always had a special place in my heart- I loved his smile and laugh and how after he graduated he would come visit me at my classroom in Metcalfe. I hope happy, loving memories of him will remain with you always.
