In Loving Memory of

Thelma Louise Haufler Collins

Collins, Thelma Louise Haufler, 86 of Bradenton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 12,  2015 surrounded by her loving family.

 

Thelma was born on February 14, 1928 to Raymond and Pearl Haufler and grew up in Gainesville, graduating from Gainesville High School.  While attending First Nazarene Church, she met and fell in love with her husband of 63 years Harvey Arnold Collins, Jr.  Thelma enjoyed traveling with Harvey in Europe and the Middle East when he was lecturing. Thelma worked as an assistant Librarian for Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL.  She was a wonderful cook and a loving wife, mother and grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 8.

 

Thelma is survived by her loving husband Harvey, son Marc Alan Collins of Los Angeles, CA, two daughters Cheryl Graves (Harold) of Colorado Springs, CO and Patty Mills(Virgil) of Bradenton, six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and a sister Pauline Jernigan of Alabama.

 

Funeral Services for Thelma will be held on Friday, January 16th, 2015 at 10:30am in the Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central’s “Chapel in the Meadows” 4100 NW 39th Ave.  with internment to immediately follow the service.

    So sorry to hear about Thelma passing away. She was a wonderful lady. She passed away the same day as my mom. They probably met at the gate of heaven. My prayers are with you.
