My thoughts are with you, Vinay’s family, during this sad time. Vinay was a fine mentor to me as I got more involved with the local Democratic Party. I thank him for his help. Vinay will be missed by so many. It was my privilege to have known him and worked with him on many projects through the years. And, what a great sense of humor. You were so fortunate to have him as family.

It is with regret for me to hear about the passing of Vinay. He spoke wisely at our Democratic Party meetings, although he never said a word (to me at least) about his intellectual background and experiences. We will surely miss the things we knew about him and will come to miss those things we did not know about him.
