Waldemar “Wally” Kissel III, 48 of Gainesville, Florida passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at N. Florida Regional Medical Center. Waldemar was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 13, 1974, to Waldemar “Wally” Jr. and Melva (Splater) Kissel.
Wally graduated from Buchholz High School where he played the trombone in the school’s marching band. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida, Orlando. Wally was a Commercial Real Estate Developer and Contractor. He was an animal lover, enjoyed swimming, cooking, and caricature drawing. He was an accomplished artist and author, publishing poetry. He was also a member of the ISCA, International Society of Caricature Artists.
Walley is survived by his parents, Waldemar “Wally”, Jr. and Melva Mae Kissel, of Gainesville, and by his sister, Vanessa Kissel of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 19th at 12 pm at Forest Meadows Funeral Home; 725 NW 23rd Avenue Gainesville. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18th from 4:00-7:00 pm and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Entombment will follow at Forest Meadows Cemetery-Central
