William “Bill” Cannon

William “Bill” Cannon, 87, Died on May 21, 2013 at ET York hospice Care Center.

William was born June 2, 1925 in Statesboro, GA to Benjamin E. and Mamie Ruth Woods Cannon.

William was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Bill was worked with Railroad Central of Georgia in Savannah,

He also was the Owner and Operator of a vending machine business.

He moved to Gainesville in 1978 from Bradford County.

He was a member of North Central Baptist Church and was a faithful servant of God, he lived his life simply and to the point.

He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years Eliza Ann Brannen Cannon. Son, Neal, and daughter Nancy M. Cannon, and one brother Hugh Don (Jeanette) Cannon of Winder, GA

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 12:00 noon, in “The Chapel in the Meadows’ Forest Meadows Mausoleum, at Forest Meadows Memorial Park,Central. 4100 N. W. 39th Ave., Gainesville.

The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 11:00 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that expressions of sympathy to be made to the North Central Baptist Church Building Fund “Above and Beyond”.
