It was with sadness I learned today of Big Bill’s passing. I have known him through my friend, and Big Bill’s son, Bill III, for about 59 years, starting in high school. He was a great guy and I have many fond memories spent at his home. More recently his son and I spent about 2 hours with him while he reminisced over his time spent in the navy in WWII. I was really looking forward to helping him celebrate his 100th birthday coming up in the near future. He never looked or acted his age, and he will be missed by us all, and I’m sure, by the staff of his favorite restaurant, Cedar River. Every Wednesday it was catfish lunch for him. Take care old buddy!!
