William Patrick Joseph Hanley

William “Bill” Patrick Joseph Hanley III, 59, of Gainesville passed away unexpectedly at Munroe Regional Medical Center on April 22, 2012. Bill was born in Brookline, MA and moved to Gainesville 31 years ago after being stationed in Germany.Bill retired from the U.S. Army after serving 21 years and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 14 years. Bill loved sports especially Boston Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics. He also loved his dogs, Rocky, Juliet and Romeo.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hanley, children, Daniel Hanley of Germany, Stephanie Hanley and Patrick Hanley both of Gainesville; sister, Lynne Figlioli (Mike); nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, Chapel in the Meadows, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville with Chaplain Glen Busby officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Avenue.
